Common questions
What does Breathing Room do?
Plan from paycheck to paycheck: give upcoming bills a place, set aside Gas + Groceries, and see what remains until payday. Breathing Room does not pay bills or move money.
Does it connect to my bank?
You enter balances and update your plan yourself. Breathing Room does not connect to your bank account.
Why is my Breathing Room different from my bank balance?
Your balance is the starting point. Bills, everyday essentials, and money held for later may already be spoken for. Check the breakdown and confirm your balances, bill dates, and paycheck dates are up to date.
How do I avoid counting a paycheck twice?
If a balance you entered already includes a paycheck, choose “Already included” when marking that paycheck received. Choose “Not yet, add it” only when the deposit is not included in that balance.
Something looks wrong. What should I check?
Check your balance and the date you entered it, upcoming bills, and whether each paycheck is marked received. Still need help? Email us a description of the issue. Redact financial details from screenshots.
Apple subscriptions & billing
This guidance applies if you purchase through Apple when Breathing Room becomes available. No subscription is being sold on this website.
Manage or cancel a subscription
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then select Breathing Room. If it is missing, check the Apple Account on your purchase receipt.
Deleting an app does not cancel its subscription. If you start a free trial and do not want it to renew, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Charges and refunds
For purchases billed by Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple handles refund eligibility and decisions. Perrie House can help with app questions, but cannot access your Apple billing account or cancel subscriptions for you.
